DIVISION I HORTICULTURE 

All specimen classes are OPEN; you may enter TWO ITEMS but they must be different cultivars. Exception to this rule will be specified where applicable.

Section ‘A’ Flower Specimens
1. Aster, annual 1 cultivar 3 blooms
2. Begonia, tuberous, with foliage, floating in water 1 bloom
Floating means not touching the sides or bottom of the container.  Bring bloom and container separately & put together at the show.
3. Begonia, other types 1 stem
4. Celosia 1 plume
5. Coleus 1 stem
6. Cosmos maximum 45 cm (18”) 1 stem
7. Cosmos collection, 3 cultivars, maximum 45cm (18”) 3 stems

ALL BRANCHES MUST BE UNDER 76 cm / 30"

Section ‘C’ Fruits & Vegetables
42. Beans, 1 cultivar (with calyx & portion of stem attached) 5 pods
43. Beets, 1 cultivar (tops trimmed to 1.3 cm/0.5” above crown,
      leave root on) 3 roots
44. Carrots, 1 cultivar (topped to 1.3 cm/0.5”) 3 roots
45. Cucumbers, slicing, 1 cultivar (short stem should remain) 2 fruit
46. Cucumbers, pickling, 1 cultivar (short stem should remain) 3 fruit
47. Garlic, any type 2 bulbs
48. Herbs – culinary, 3 types, (must be named) 3 stems

Do not peel, only broken outer scales should be removed.
Neatly trim tops and remove roots just below the base.
50. Peppers, 1 cultivar (leave approx. 1.5 cm / 1/2“of stem) 2 fruit
51. Potatoes, 1 cultivar, (brush clean) 3 tubers
52. Squash, summer, any type, (stem left attached & trimmed) 1 fruit
53. Tomatoes, over 5 cm / 2”, diameter, 1 cultivar 
      (preferable to leave calyx) 3 fruit   
54. Tomatoes, 5 cm / 2” & under, diameter, 1 cultivar (preferable to leave calyx) 5 fruit
55. Tomatoes any variety 1 truss
56. Any other fruit, 1 cultivar (NIP), UNLIMITED ENTRIES suitable #
57. Any other vegetable, 1 cultivar (NIP), UNLIMITED ENTRIES suitable #
58. Tomato, large 1 fruit

Section ‘D’ Collections Shown for cultural perfection
For each class show 3 different plants or 3 different cultivars/varieties of the same plant species (NIP), container of choice.

59. Coleus 3 stems
60. Cut flowers – Annuals 3 stems
61. Cut flowers – Perennials 3 stems
62. Tomatoes 3 fruit
63. Peppers 3 fruit
64. Mixed vegetables 3 entries

DIVISION II DESIGN
Only the Pick and Plunk classes in Special Exhibits are OPEN.

Section ‘E’
Where possible, please provide the name(s) of plant material used in your design.

65. “Theatrical” Mass design, accessories allowed (refer to Definition of Terms)
66. “Bold” Design of choice
67. You create a title An interpretation of your own title. Display a title card
68. “Abundance” Design Using Edibles, max. of 45.7cm/ 18” in all directions 
69. “Scarborough Fair” Design Using Herbs
